The report "SMEs in Focus" uses current data and facts to show the importance of small and medium-sized enterprises for the Austrian economy. A focus chapter is dedicated to the effects of the shortage of skilled labour on SMEs. Furthermore, the report offers an overview of recent SME support measures, which are oriented towards the three pillars of the new SME strategy of the European Commission. The report will be submitted by the BMDW to the National Council.
