The Houska Prize, awarded annually since 2005, is the highest endowed private prize for applied research in Austria. The aim of the evaluation is to determine the extent to which the Houska Prize has rewarded outstanding science and research projects that have led to economic success. To this end, among other things, publication and patent data will be evaluated, qualitative interviews, an online survey and case studies will be conducted. Conclusions and recommendations for the future design of the prize will be drawn from the results.
