Anja Marcher studied human geography at the University of Vienna (focus: economic and social geography, demography, spatial planning) and is currently completing a doctorate in geography at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in Germany. Since July 2020 she has been working as a research assistant at the Austrian Institute for SME Research. Her field of activity includes participation in national and international evaluations and studies in the field of research, technology and innovation policy and lavour market. Prior to this Anja Marcher worked as a researcher at Eurac Research in Bolzano, as a research assistant at the Austrian Institute of Economic Research and as a student assistant at the Institute of Demography of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
