Andrea Werner completed her interdisciplinary academic education at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna and the University of Copenhagen in the Bachelor programme Environment and Bioresource Management, as well as at WU Vienna in the Master Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy with a focus on Environmental Change and Urban Governance. She has extensive experience as a researcher and project manager in applied energy research, with a focus on social-empirical accompanying research, studies on technology acceptance and sustainability analyses. She is certified to analyse gender, diversity and intersectionality in a research context and has completed a two-semester course in user experience management.

At KMU Forschung Austria, her field of activity includes working on national and international evaluations and studies in the areas of research, technology and innovation policy.
